I want to build a zawiya, an Islamic monastery, down by the river out in the woods. To establish an anchor point by which Islam can be established in this land, like the zawiyas of North Africa in the Golden Age of Islam.
It is a complex institution featuring a school, monastery, and house of worship. I would then like to grant the surrounding land for free to Muslims for agricultural development. Many Muslims here live in poverty as I do as well.
But poverty in the USA is not like poverty in the Middle East. I have been homeless, gone hungry. I have the things I need even though the government says I live in poverty. I envision a peaceful and successful agricultural community that engages with the people and reaches out to those in need. A little slice of Jannah in the USA.
Sheeps, goats, herbs, heirloom crops, flowers. Soberness and modesty, harmony with humanity and nature. An environment that makes it easy for us to practice our religion and propagate it to the nation.
