I think this is why the left's message doesn't resonate, and why the "Asmongold type" influencers are siding with Israel and bringing their audiences with them. Leftists always say that Israel isn't a Jewish state, it's just White American colonialism using fabricated Jewish identity to deflect criticism. In the Left's view, Israel is a vehicle for American imperial ambitions, but this is actually a pro-Israel message. If Israel benefits American interests then why wouldn't Americans support Israel? After all, isn't the entire point of the Israel lobby to convince Americans that Israel benefits American interests?
I've noticed this pattern a lot with the Left, where on a material level they support the exact same thing as their enemies, only differing when it comes to immaterial predictions or moral interpretations.
For example Leftists and Capitalists both support mass migration. Capitalists have a material reason for doing so (cheap labor, weakens unions, more debt-free consumers etc) while the left just have immaterial ideological reasons. Leftists and Zionists both agree that Israel is an asset to the US. Zionists want you to believe this because they want you to support them and know you are more likely to do so if you think Israel is an asset, but why to the Left want you to think Israel is an asset? Purely ideological desires to tie everything back to White people?
A huge part of why the anti-Israel right appeals more to young men is because their narratives actually go against those of the Israel lobby, rather than just pushing the same thing with a different interpretation. The anti-Israel right makes the case that Israel is a liability, and it's much easier to get people to oppose liabilities than assets.
