What's the humidity level?
I grew up in the subtropics, and 85F+ was absolutely fucking miserable because the humidity was always >80%.. I mean, just going outdoors for 15 minutes to check the mail and water the garden would mean you'd return soaking as wet from sweat. Meanwhile, when I lived in the midwest, I could work outside at 100F without an issue whatsoever, whereas in the Southern US it gets to a point where you literally can not absorb the water you drink fast enough to replenish what you lose in sweat.
