Yall are retarded

Wetbulb temperature tells you how hot it really feels when humidity makes it hard for sweat to cool you down.

THIS IS MOTHER FUCKING IMPORTANT SWEAT IS WHAT COOLD HUMANS DOWN DUE TO THE LATEN HEAT OF EVAPORATION BUT /pol/ CHUDS WILL BE TOO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND THIS POINT.

Normally sweating helps cool you off because sweat evaporates. But if the air is too humid sweat doesn’t evaporate well, so you stay hot.

HUMANS HAVE HIGHER ENDURANCE THAN ANY ANIMAL BECAUSE WE CAN COOL OURSELVES DOWN WITH SWEAT. THIS IS OUR SUPER POWER. WHEN THE WETBULB TEMPERATURE IS TOO HIGH SWEAT CAN NO LONGER BE EVAPORATED AND HUMANS LOSE THERE TEMPERATURE REGULATING ABILITIES.

If wetbulb is below 80f you’re fine.

Around 85f really uncomfortable.

Above 95f it’s deadly because your body can’t cool down even if you’re in the shade and drinking water.

In short: Wetbulb temperature tells you when the combination of heat amd humidity becomes dangerous, not just uncomfortable

Pic related: a graph FOR MF HVAC TECHS explaining the importance of wet bulb temperature. I KNOW ONLY ABOUT 1% OF /pol/ is smart enough to become an HVAC tech but wetbulb is real and it's used as a heat metric directly related to human physiology.

Thanks wetbulbschizo, I'll be sure to check the wet bulb temp when I'm straining myself outside to avoid heat stroke.

Had me check if dew point was a proxy for wet bulb and it is.
