Let's talk about fantasy and sci-fi today. My picks:
>The Lord of the Rings
Great for unblack-pilling yourself, written by a Catholic chad
>Narnia
Great kids book, but basically the Bible re-written
>Hyperion
Great plot-twist, interesting sci-fi
>Whipping Star (Frank Herbert)
Everyone knows about Dune, but this is a good look into Chinese communist society / our future
>Snow Crash
Our near future / present. Great depiction of government
>Catch-22
Most realistic book of the military & war you'll ever read

Count of monte cristo and 13th warrior are both great. Enjoyed dungeon crawler carl, top tier slop. Algernon blackwood is actually a better horror writer than lovecraft. Still love lovecraft. Jack london is always good. The tower and the square or whatever is imteresting.

>Hyperion
The Fall of Hyperion has some of the most satisfying plot twist fuckery. Endymion has some of the most interesting world building and lore out of any media Iโ€™ve consumed, BUT I canโ€™t get past the fucking stupid Aenea arc.
>Oh no, Iโ€™m the messiah and the baddies are after me.
>I mysteriously know everything and constantly drop vague hints about the future but never reveal why or provide a satisfying explanation.
>Floats down a river for fucking 800 pages.
Fuck. Itโ€™s so damn boring.

Have you read the Koran?

It is not fantasy or science fiction.

They get incredibly angry when I post it on /lit/.

They either ban me or talk about burning it.

They post a lot of degenerate books.

you are missing out my fren. human experience is much more. try some russian classics like Lermontovs hero of our time. Its a quick read.

Also fables bro, fantasy, but often very concise wisdom in it that helps you in life sometimes more than a tractor manual.
