The US has a long history of destorying democratically elected governments (e.g., Iran, Guatemala, Chile) and siding with the worse dicatorships in the world (saudi arabia, Pinochet, Batista, Somoza, military juntas in Brazil and beyond).
Also a democracy can behave worse than a dictatorship in moral terms. Democracies have a long history of appartheid genocide, slavery and war crimes (north america, australia, new zealand, south africa, french algeria ...)

I think the bible is a very bad guide to conduct the foreign policy of a powerful nation but lets dig it.
The New Testament does not prophecy or address the political creation of the modern Israeli state. On the contrary, with jesus, what was originally ethnic and territorial, becomes universal, spiritual, and ecclesial.
Only the old testament talks about it and it only applies to jews, not christians
