The more I think about the state of the world, the more the current conflicts make sense. At the end of the day, there are two main players in this world, each of which rules a respective sphere of influence. That's the USA, and China. Russia and Western Europe have sought to carve out their own spheres, but at the end of the day, Western Europe is part of US sphere of influence, and Russia is part of the China bloc. Iran is also part of the China bloc.
We've seen how much the war in Ukraine has depleted munitions in the west, and how it's been difficult to keep up just to supply the Ukrainian front with enough arms to fight Russia, who themselves are being supplied by China and North Korea, and for whom the procurement of arms and munitions is easier.
If the USA were to get bogged down in Iran, who benefits? China benefits. They would basically be free to take Taiwan. Trump knows this. Nothing would be more humiliating for a Trump presidency than to lose Taiwan to China, and moreso, to have China unequivocally rise up as the premiere global power. The only winning move here is not to play. Assist Israel, sure, and maybe do some psyops and hope that Iranians have a revolution. But committing serious quantities of US manpower and arms to invade and destroy Iran is retard-tier
