>>508186939>This has always been a thing. I fucking hate when people say this shit. Its not true. For around 15,000 years human kind has seen culture and trends move so slowly that a hair style could last 100+ years with very little change.
Pop culture was never a thing until the last 50-100 years due to how slowly things moved, the idea of some new story defining a generation and the older/newer gens never even seeing it is a result of modern pop culture and corporate profit.
>People get old, they get stuck in their ways, the world changes around them and they're unable to change with it, the more the world changes, the more miserable they become. Because we aren't evolved to change our culture and beliefs and ways of living anywhere near as fast as it happens today.
>They see teenagers and realize they are the agents of change, so they attack them. No, that's stupid. That's not it. As an older millenial looking at zoomers and alpha, I don't see "agents of change", I just see young people forgetting and abandoning important cultural lessons and morals and I see them forgetting VERY RECENT historical events and allowing history to repeat
Its not a negative thing, I am not hostile toward them, I just think its sad.
Young people are ignorant, by definition, and they're manipulated by these trends and cultural shifts much easier.
Once youve lived a while, you're not " stuck in your ways" you're experienced and its hard for someone younger with almost no similar cultural or shared morals to convince you of anything when it seems like they have no substantive culture or values.
Again, its not negative. But when I see zoomers and alphas praising shit like marvel movies, I just can't understand it and I can't respect their positions, because it isn't experienced or thoughtful.
Its naive and childish.
