People take Iraq as a lesson you can never do regime change again. But Germany and Japan in 1945, and the collapse of the Soviet Union are never cited as reasons that regime change is always good.
The idea that all governments must be preserved forever is decadent. We would've never achieved anywhere near the progress we have made if that was a rule societies always lived by.
The question is which government should continue to exist, and which should fall?
The Iranian regime is one of those that should fall.
