My first day in Iraq was my 30th birthday.

I was a contractor though. Do you have any skills at all? You can sometimes get started in IT with a Security+ certificate. A+ too would be better.

The thing is, even at 30 -- if your health and fitness is at least baseline -- they'll take you and give you a fucking career; training and experience. If you're like how I was, there weren't many other options.
