They never had actual allies. They had economic partners, all of whom were in no way reliant on trade with Iran, and all were only doing it as a cheap way to fund attacks on the Western world. Furthermore, there isnt a single nation on earth that wants Shiite Islam to spread as a matter of policy. Only in America will you even find non-Shia citizens stupid enough to support Iran online
