It's 96°F. Sure it was a heat wave in New Mexico and West Texas where it got to 120°F and Denver where it got into the 90s, but not even breaking 100 in JUNE in the Midwest hardly constitutes a massive heat wave. I remember 2019 we had a week long heat wave where it got to 105°F everyday for a week in May. That was hot and slightly unseasonal, but this just seems like an average hot couple days.

I have heard about how "fragile" our power grid is for about 15 years straight. I still remember when I heard this meme back then. We have white guys that dip wintergreen long cut and wear hard hats. As long as this man exists, the power will be restored no matter what happens to the grid. We had fuckin catastrophic storms from hurricane Helene, there were downed power lines all over the place in my town, substations had entire trees crushing them. I was back to switching the power from my generator to the grid 3 days later, because white guys that dip showed up and fixed it. THAT is the "grid". It's not this "fragile" network that gay dorks say can stop working because a moth lands on the cathode of a transformer in New Jersey and it takes 87 years to fold the metal and ceramic 400 times by a bushido master on Mt Fuji to make a new one. It isn’t some strange heat wave, it’s normal summer weather. I live in the south east and this is the first week it’s going to be above 90 all summer, that’s actually strange. I can remember weeks in June when it never dropped below 100 when I was a kid. This coming week it’s supposed to be like 94. It was like 70 and raining and kind of chilly until a couple days ago.
