Why are lower fertility rates a problem? There’s 8 billion people on this planet.

Japan has 120 million people. How much more do they need? Is it just a policy of let’s have more kids cause that’s nature and the right way to live.

It's the inverted pyramid
There's too many geriatric zombies and not enough children and the former are energetic drains that preclude the latter

Having more old people than young stresses their welfare system, if they have one. Also, life becomes harder for everybody if there is less people making stuff and providing services. Think of the last sandwich you had, think of the hours that went into planting wheat, turning that into flour, rising chickens, taking the eggs, milking cattle, then shipping those to someone who then turned it into bread, then all the work involved in making the filling; it would take you years to DIY everything, but since there are a lot of people alive, other people can do it, and you just have to trade a bit of your time for it.

But the main reason why politicians are pushing mass immigration aren’t those listed above, so do not listen to them.

Having a TFR of 1.9 is good (Controlled population shrinkage). Having a TFR below 1.5 is very bad. A TFR below 1.0 is a demographic armageddon.

A state can use tactics and good planning to make a TFR of 1.5> bearable for having a sustainable pension, welfare and healthcare systems but below that it becomes impossible. One or all of the systems will break down, making life utterly miserable for all parties considered.

It's literally not a problem. It's only a problem to the infinite growth neoliberal types who nobody should pay attention to anyway.
