millenial liberals? Occupy consisted of a whole range of people from all parts of the political spectrum. It was actually the first time that people banded together and overcame their political differences, and formed some actual grassroots opposition towards the traditional power structures, such as Wall Street, the military industrial complext, big pharma, the Federal Reserve, etc.

The US deep state divided the entire thing up into what was ultimately came to known as the "woke left", and the "based right" (to make a long story short).

Here is the thing about OWS. At the start it was not just a liberal thing. People were PISSED about 08 and that the people who caused it were not punished and nothing was changed to stop this from happening again. Then magically, out of fucking no where all these super left people showed up, the whole point of the protest and the media coverage changed. From there it was about "progression stacks" and other shit we would now call "woke". A woman who called herself Katchup and used they/them pronouns became the face of the movement.
