I wish China made normal internal combustion engine cars. I don't like EVs. I also don't like how every Western car is a firmware-locked overpriced shitbox that takes a fortune to repair. Chinese cars would have the cheapest parts and would be the easiest to repair.

China was always gonna win the EV market
Their entire economy is centered around letting Western companies build factories in Shanghai, letting chinks run and work in the place, and slowly siphoning all the engineering experience and technology away so the CCP can create an identical factory under a government owned or subsidised corporation before slowly strangling the Western companies that gave them the chance in the first place

It happened with Apple and now Tesla, as it will with every company that does business there

they do and they are all butt ugly. Same 1.5 l engine in every car, Geely, DFSK, MG, Forthing, Lynk&Co. They aren't even cheap, well some are but those are especially ugly and really shitty. For example Geely Coolray costs same as Škoda Kamiq in Monte Carlo trim with 1.5 tsi engine. I compare those two because they are same class of car, B segment cuckover

China manufacturers can't/won't meet safety standards. The QC will be abysmal. Will insurance companies even insure them?

I want cheap Chinese cars but let's be real here.

>The battery tech, which is the heart of EVs and China is miles ahead in, was actually stolen from the west which is years behind
Do you see any logic flaws in your argument? You can have this cope though.
