Who the fuck wants the Shah back? Didn't his policies alienate a large majority of Iranian society that caused the revolution in the first place?

The CIA with British support staged a coup in Iran in 1953 to remove their very popular prime minister and empower the Shah as an autocrat and a foreign puppet.
Except when the very unpopular Shah was ousted they supported the Islamic Revolution so the very popular socialists wouldn't take power.
And now we are today.

>restricted the power of the clergy when, even more muslim conquest, the magi was a very powerful ring of society
>restricted iranian societal norms and promoted western ideology despite knowing iranian society is very traditionalist
>his white revolution destroyed farming thanks to land redistribution, bazars and merchants were sidelined in favor of large department stores, heavy industrialization made villages poorer
>extreme political and religious oppression imposed on by his secret police SAVAK
He knew most of Iranian society wouldn't accept it but he did it anyways. Why do you think the people turned to the clergy for support when the Shah didn't offer then any?

He could've just kept selling oil to the West without implementing a large amount of policies that told the already established Iranian society to get lost. He got into power because of that, british oil interests.
