Iran cannot defeat Israel, even if the Americans stayed out of this. And with the US backing them their chances have been solidified at 0. Face it, they have also lost every proxy in the region.

Not that simple. If Iran's missile program keeps advancing eventually Israel's air superiority and strikes into Iran become a different risk/reward calculus. They already have to a degree. Not too long ago Iran had to sit on their and take Israeli strikes, with only its proxy organizations available to hit Israel in anyway.
Israel is quite adamant about wiping out anyone who will carry water for Iran as boots on the ground but they haven't succeeded in total, and even then it's a pretty different world from where we were just 10 years ago with Iran's ability to strike Israel directly. 10 years ago Hezbollah eating shit would have crippled Iran's ability to operate at all against Israel. These days you have what's unfolding now.

Israel understands long term that pressing on to victory against Iran's proxy fighters no longer represents taking Iran off the table. That's why they big mad right now. The stuff about nukes is a dog and pony show.
