The Romans never could conquer them, and instead those people conquered the Romans. Your argument is invalid.

Northern Europeans have a higher IQ than Meds. The reason Meds achieved the level of civilization that they did is because they were playing on easy mode because of the mild climate. It took a high intelligence to be able to survive in Northern Europe. Meds would not have survived there for long.
