What confuses me is that they've been bouncing around 1-5 years for 40 years, said they were weeks away once in those 40 years, and nothing happened... Then, nobody said they were 6 months away 6 months ago, 3 months away 3 months ago, it was just "YO NUKES IN LIKE A WEEK BRAH! GOTTA BOMB EM NOW!" Something else is here, the narratives don't line up.

Its not like Iran is some backwater arab tribal state too. They have really high university rates and a extensive nuclear industry.
If the americans could make the atomic in the 40s I don't see how any country couldn't develop nukes relatively quick, let alone one with decades of nuclear experience.
