They did, it is called tiktok and focuses on shorts because short videos get as much or more views by attention span lacking target demographic, and also a lot of the rest of the public while requiring less storage.

The resulting videos of dancing attractive people has what they appear to be supporting swapped in and out for propaganda purposes and often has nothing to do with what they thought the subject was.
