After the Roman destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple, the Jews were largely cast out of Israel and scattered among the nations. The sect that followed Jesus had stopped being an ethnically Jewish religion and preached among the gentiles and would quickly be lead by gentiles, especially the Greeks, while the Pharisees would hold fast to remaining an elusive, ethnic religion and would go on to create modern rabbinical Judaism.
The idea of the Christians bowing down to the Jews is a product of Zionism and a heresy they have spread among certain sects of American Protestantism that centers the Jews as the people of God in the Book of Revelation and, consequently, the key to fulfilling end times prophecy. It's a complete nonsense heresy believed by a gaggle of dipshits lead by false, paid-off pastors.
The idea that Jews like the Christians is such utter nonsense, it's contradicted even to this day! It's common practice among the Israeli Jews to spit on Christians!
