The Strait of Hormuz will be closing within an hour. The Iranian government unanimously voted to close the strait. Its officially happening. The price of oil and any products that use oil in any way (like products encased in plastic) will go through the fucking roof. Fuck that orange golem and all his MIGAtard voters.

Man you realize that all you have to do is put dum dum mines all over the water and that alone freezes the shipping lane. Ships will just avoid the area while the US or some other ships have to go out and get rid of those mines.

Iran's about to get their minelayers plonked. The US Navy knows they're using fishing boats, and there wont be warning shots fired this time.
Last time, a US bomber dropped a 500 pound bomb right into the stacks of one of their warships and they had to limp it back to port. Iran's not risking warships and their ballistic missiles are few. They know who wins this pissing match.

It's more sublime than that.
Convince Llyod's of London that mines are in the water and anti-ship missiles might be ready to fire and insurance for tankers will be impossible to obtain. Every private operator will let their tankers swing at anchor rather than take the risk of losing the ship and cargo at a 100% net loss.

Without attacking any oil infrastructure in the region, closing the Strait would add about $1-2 per gallon within 2 weeks. If this is prolonged then this will probably tip the world into a global recession, and since all nations are pretty much on the verge of recession with ballooning deficits, the solution will be to print money to prop up the economy. Inflation and/or stagflation is appearing on the horizon. This is going to suck.

Dossier: Strategic Parallels Between the Syrian Civil War and the Emerging Conflict in Iran
Executive Summary
Recent military actions by the U.S. and Israel against Iranโ€”particularly the targeting of nuclear and civilian infrastructureโ€”suggest a calculated effort to provoke internal destabilization rather than pursue direct regime change through large-scale occupation. This mirrors the strategy employed in Syria: degrade essential services, empower opposition elements, and create conditions for a proxy-led civil breakdown.

1. Infrastructure Targeting as a Catalyst for Unrest
Reports from Iranian energy officials indicate that Israel has struck water treatment facilities and energy distribution hubs in and around Tehran. These attacks have:

Disrupted civilian life in urban centers.

Undermined public trust in the regimeโ€™s ability to provide basic services.

Echoed early Syrian strikes on dams, power plants, and medical infrastructure, which precipitated a humanitarian crisis and social unrest.

China is hands down the most dependent on foreign oil of any large country on earth, and particularly gulf oil.
They are a manufacturing based economy and dependent on oil for literally everything.
They import ~70% of their oil and ~50% of that comes from Saudi Arabia.
Iran supplies them with like 5%
If the Persians are dumb enough to go through with this, China is likely to enter the war... against them.

2. Limited Ground Presence, Maximum Strategic Leverage
Despite thousands of U.S. and Israeli personnel already operating in Syria, their physical footprint has been designed to train and supply proxy opposition forcesโ€”not to directly occupy territory.

In Iran, early indicators (including reports of Israeli and U.S. operatives coordinating with Balochi and Kurdish separatists) point to a similar limited-manpower approach. This allows both countries to claim minimal involvement while shaping the battlespace indirectly.

3. Media Framing and Psychological Operations
The Assad regime was globally demonized through relentless media narratives around chemical weapons and authoritarian brutality.

Iranโ€™s leadership is now being similarly characterizedโ€”described in absolutist, confrontational terms that justify pre-emptive strikes and sow doubt about its legitimacy.

Furthermore, cyber and social media campaigns have increased dramatically in Iran over the past month. Their messaging focuses on water shortages, power failures, and perceived regime failuresโ€”stoking unrest and distrust internally.

4. Strategic Goal: Regime Erosion Through Proxy Pressure
The Syrian conflict taught outside actors how to achieve regime attrition without direct invasion:

Support local insurgents with arms, intelligence, and moral legitimacy.

Apply economic and social pressure by degrading civilian infrastructure.

Exploit humanitarian crises to justify deeper international involvement.

Each of these steps appears to be repeating in the Iranian context.

Conclusion
This is not merely a military campaign against Iranโ€™s nuclear program. It is, by all appearances, a hybrid war designed to replicate the conditions that tore Syria apart. The evidenceโ€”ranging from infrastructure targeting to psychological operations and early engagement with dissident minoritiesโ€”points to a long-game approach aimed at destabilizing the state from within.

Moron, where do you think the oil comes from?
We have an entire economy built around the extraction and processing of oil.
That's hundreds of thousands of jobs.
From the laborers on the drill crews, to the engineers, to the maintenance technicians, to the accountants, to the truck drivers.
That doesn't even count the secondary professions like service workers who service the people in the oil industry.
Hundreds of cities and towns in this country have economies built on oil extraction and refining.
ALL of it is about to become very wealthy.
If you're too stupid to figure out how to profit personally from that, that's a you problem.

who cares? we're not a nation. we're not a people. we are not human. we are slaves. we are cattle. we are owned and operated like machinery. we are not real.

I think you are thinking in 1D and that's what any proponent of neo-cons would want to think, but oil prices can affect us tangentially as it begins to get baked into prices of all good we import, not talking about cheap chinese trinkets, I'm talking whatever food, medicine, whatever we import. It's intellectually dishonest to suggest that the closure of the Strait has minimal impact on our lives. First right off the bat, this Prevents the FED from cutting rates if these costs are realized. If the FED keeps holding rates here, we're looking at high rates in the face of a slowing economy, on top of higher prices = Stagflation.

You are a retard.
We import a small portion of crude, ~15% iirc, almost exclusively from Canada.
This is because Canada lacks the export infrastructure to ship it anywhere else.
We are a net exporter of REFINED products.
This means that we refine enough finished products, fuel, lubricants, etc, to meet all of our domestic needs with plenty to spare for foreign export.
We could also easily up our production.
We dont currently because the price of oil is too low.
Honestly, destroying middle east oil production would be the best thing to ever happen to the US.

This is all Trump's fault.

1. The JCPOA worked because of its dual strategy: surveillance + incentives
Iran refrained from enriching uranium not simply because it was illegal, but because of three key mechanisms:

Strict IAEA inspections, including the Additional Protocol
Powerful economic incentivesโ€”the lifting of crippling sanctions
The snapback clause, which automatically reimposed UN sanctions if Iran violated the deal

When this structure collapsed, Iran responded by saying:

>โ€œIf weโ€™re going to be sanctioned anyway, we might as well resume enrichment.โ€

2. Trump's withdrawal destroyed both the deal's legitimacy and enforcement
When the U.S. unilaterally withdrew from the JCPOA, it eliminated both the incentive to comply and the means to verify compliance.

This led to:
The collapse of Iranโ€™s moderate political factions
A new internal justification for enrichment: โ€œWe were the ones betrayed.โ€
A reduction in IAEA monitoring, making covert enrichment more plausible

Bottom line: It was Trump's withdrawal that directly triggered Iranโ€™s nuclear violations not the other way around.

That's my read on it too.
MBS has been trying for a while to become the refactoring caliph of a new Islamic empire.
He recognized that the best way to do that is with soft power and by aligning with the west.
He has been trying to position for a formal alliance with Isreal that would be palatable to the rest of the Islamic world.
I think his ultimate goal is to create a sort of EU for the middle east with SA as the cultural and economic capital.
On paper it will be secular, but in practice it will be a new Islamic caliphate.
Iran has been standing in the way of all of this with their terrorist proxy groups.
I hypothesized over a year ago that the Saudis would stand by and let conflict between Israel and Iran escalate until at some point, possibly through a false flag, possibly by Iran just being retarded, the Saudis would find a casus beli to join the war.
This lets them present the narrative to their own people that the jews are an ally of convenience against a common enemy.
Once Iran is defeated, this war alliance becomes the basis for the regional union they are trying to create.

BULLSHIT!! MUTT

TRUMP, he destroyed one of the most effective non-proliferation frameworks in modern history.

Actually, Iran fully complied with the JCPOA from 2015 until the America. withdrawal in 2018. The IAEA confirmed over a dozen times that Iran stayed within limits, including keeping uranium enrichment below 3.67%โ€”well under weapons-grade levelsโ€”and allowing continuous inspections.

The claim that Iran โ€œrefused inspectorsโ€ only happened after the TRUMP unilaterally withdrew and reimposed sanctions, which prompted Iran to scale back its commitments.

So saying โ€œIran was violating it from the startโ€ is just factually wrong and ignores the detailed IAEA reports that prove the opposite.

If anything, the America broke the deal first, forcing Iran into a defensive position.

Trump tore it up with zero plan, zero alternative, and zero international support.

He handed Iran the perfect excuse: โ€œYou broke the deal first.โ€ WHAT A MORON?

That single move collapsed moderation inside Iran, weakened the IAEAโ€™s access, and opened the door to 60% enrichment

The result? Iranโ€™s nuclear program is now stronger, faster, and less transparent than ever
Trump didnโ€™t stop Iran, he accelerated the very threat he claimed to prevent
He didnโ€™t dismantle a โ€œbad dealโ€; he blew up the brakes and floored the gas.

Now the worldโ€™s stuck cleaning up his mess

Trump didnโ€™t โ€œmake America great again.โ€ He fucked the world over with zero foresight and a narcissistโ€™s hard on for headlines

He didnโ€™t play 4D chess, he flipped the fucking board and ran off screaming about fake deals

Why should I buy a liter of gasoline for 2000 won because of this idiot? Please Shoot this fucking TACO to death

At no point have I mentioned my own finacial situation. I am comfortable and while I will not like higher prices, baring collapse of the country, I'll probably be fine. Plenty of people have jobs and skills specialized to fields that have nothing to do with the oil industry. It would be idiotic to dump all of my career progress to go be a roughneck because of some temporary spike in oil prices. How does this help roofers, framers, or any other job (most jobs) that have no direct connection to the oil industry?

I am speaking for the mass of Americans and the mass of Americans will not benefit from this. Throwing $5 at robinhood isn't a realistic way for them to benefit. They lack assets to sink into stocks, they don't want to drop their lives and move to Texas or one of the Dakotas to work 70 hour weeks on heavy equipment. There will be a select few who will but it will be a net negative for the majority and therefore a net negative for America.

Anyways, you are tiresome ttyn.

Oil is a highly fungible global commodity, with a global price (sure, technically there are various oils varying in factors such as density and sulphur content, but there is still a lot of fungibility). Is that a self pic?
If gas starts getting expensive we have our own oil.
We were an oil exporter up until Biden, well his handlers, royally fucked that up.
The higher it gets the more economically viable a great many other sources become, and that's not at $10 a gallon, that's at ~$4.50.
All the infrastructure is already there and ready to go.
You didn't actually think the whole, "Gulf of America" thing was just to fuck with beaners, did you? It was because all the Executive orders pushed out by Biden's handlers say we can't drill in the Gulf of Mexico.
So we're not going to. We will drill in the Gulf of America.

Working permits is how it starts then they gain power and demand to stay. The reason they are needed is because you are experiencing brain drain because of your corrupt politicians. They aren't temporary they are a permanent fix since you all move to Germany and the UK. Your country is fucked.

If America wants to lead the 21st century, it needs to grow the hell up and dump the clown who wrecked its credibility.
Trump didnโ€™t just tear up the Iran deal, he tore up the idea that the U.S. could be trusted, reasoned with, or taken seriously.
You donโ€™t fix a broken empire by doubling down on the guy who broke it. You remove him like the tumor he is.

Until then, donโ€™t talk about โ€œgreatness.โ€ You canโ€™t project global power when you can't even protect your own foreign policy from a TV celebrity.

Au contraire.
Koreans lock up their crooks even if they are presidents.
America, like a most authoritarian dictatorship, lets the criminal presidents be because "what will the world think" at best and "they are all in the pedo ring" at worst
It seems to be the latter
So, it's you who shouldn't talk until you start locking up your crooks
Your current president is implied in a massive pedo scandal and it's probably true

Funny how you're mocking Korea for jailing corrupt presidents, while your country handed nuclear codes to a game show host who wrecked diplomacy with allies, sabotaged the Iran deal for no reason, and slapped tariffs on U.S. partners while going soft on China.
Trump claimed to fight China, then matched Chinaโ€™s tariffs with allies like Korea and the EU, weakening the coalition that couldโ€™ve actually contained CHINA
At times, he looked more like a clueless proxy for Beijing than a strategist. thatโ€™s tactical brain damage.
Also, for the record, Moon Jae-in never went to jail. But nice try

Honestly, I didnโ€™t forget... Iโ€™ve just never heard about that hahaha
I always thought Trump was just a pathetic TV talk show host who inherited a fortune from his dad and somehow managed to run bankruptcies on companies like Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza, Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts, Trump Entertainment Resorts, Trump Mortgage, and Trump Airlines.
Politics was clearly way beyond his league. I still think that his becoming president was God's punishment for humanity.
