You realized this too late, as I did, but it's time to start saving for a house in a smaller city or town NOW. It won't get better. Your mental health will go down the tubes living in the same building as these apes. It won't be an amazing house. It'll likely be some run-down piece of shit from the early 20th century with problems you'll have to fix, and you'll be shopping for a long time for a quarter-decent deal, but it'll be some sanctuary. Best decision I've made for myself.
