I've been there and done it. Its just a pilgrimage site, it has a ritual where you silently pray against the wall and leave a written prayer between the stones. Christianity and Islam have plenty of similar pilgrimage sites in Jerusalem as well with their own rituals. It's not a big deal or anything out of the ordinary, not sure why people make a fuss over it. I'm Jewish and I've done pilgrimage rituals at christian churces in Israel and the west bank. We're all praying to the same god, so I don't see anything problematic over it.
