It was a populist sort of movement tied to the economy collapsing and Middle East fatigue. After MAGA became the popular thing on the right, the only people who stuck around either had autism and 160+ IQs or were complete unrelenting degenerates. I think it will make a comeback in this decade though. The economy is terrible and Iran could get out of control quickly..

Because libertarianism only works when you live at least a few weeks form the nearest empire. It simply cannot work in the globally connected world. The only way infringing on an individual's rights isn't worth it to the state is when the cost of transport is high enough to dissuade them.
