we're headed through the rabbit hole, hyperreality is now the default. we're living inside the constructed image, which is now more "real" and pervasive than the ground-floor reality. the signified has subsumed the signifier.
the fact that this is happening right as an immense amount of processing power for AI is coming online is not a coincidence, i don't think, but i also think it's pretty hard for us to fully understand all the ways in which superintelligence is influencing our constructed "reality" at this point.
and it's going to continue to accelerate, we're just barely getting off the launch pad right now. buckle up, it's going to get way weirder, way faster, from here on out.
