You know its going to happen since 80% of Americans don't want to participate in a war at this moment. I have yet to meet a single person in their 20s to 40s who supports any sort of presence in the Middle East, left and right wing.

Peak nationalism hit when our country was "attacked" in 2001, it was the only way to garner public support for an invasion in the Middle East since after the Persian Gulf War there was severe anti-war sentiment and isolationism was becoming a populist stance.

It's obviously going to hit a public area + some financially backed federal asset held in a building just so they can kill 2 birds with one stone. This isn't even a conspiracy, if there was an attack on our soil then public opinion on another war would grow.

I was a bit too young to see and understand the fuckery that was happening when 9/11 happened. I still won't support a new war, knowing it's all theater. Unfortunately too many of the wrong people will be all for it.

No, because Trump fired first. So most Americans would say we deserved it, just like many did on 9/11 when they referenced the US involvement in Cold War Afghanistan. Don't expect Iran to retaliate so quickly. This type of payback can be 3-5 years in the making. Possibly year one of the next admin (2028)
