No politicians have wished to mention nuclear war outright unless they are protesting against Israel, because they realize that's the likely end result of this war.
Iran is likely never going to surrender unless their leadership is dead...
but killing the leadership means we have to have troops on the ground occupying them to ensure the same types of people or worse gain control...
but nobody wants a ground war so nuking all Iranians is becoming preferable to a few thousand dead Israeli and US troops.
