The best way to understand it is imagining a group of people who have nostalgia for the time when they were running up their credit cards and hadn't yet hit the limit, the idea that the USSR's system directly led to their current state and problems never really clicks.

I think so, yes. And this is what the west refuses to delve into. The masks are more convenient, easier, do not require trans-generational effort in engagement, only excuses

the biggest victims of the Soviet Union were Ukrainians, why would Russia care about that? it would only be a problem if they somehow combined countries again
