Iran can barely afford to maintain helicopters for their leaders, do you really think they’re going to pay legions of “terrorists” to just live in the USA waiting for a call? If you think through the logistics that’s absurd in and of itself. Then you have to wonder why the agents would even stay loyal to this Ayatollah when they see most of what they’ve heard is a lie, after having been living in “deep cover” for a couple decades. Finally, what sort of attack can they pull off? It’s only going to be low-level soft targets. They shoot up a mall? There goes your Tehran.

It’s all very silly. Of course there are spies, and espionage is real, but a lot of boomers seem to have a Tom Clancy fantasy that these cells are suddenly going to “activate” and shut down the USA. In reality, they won’t even be able to “try it in a small town”, if that helps a boomer understand.
