China is about ten years away from doing that. They're building a navy far larger than the US navy with more carriers, cruisers and submarines. They can out produce the US military in fighter jet production. They also have upcoming weapon systems which surpass what the US military currently has in inventory. This is why the US is trying to pivot toward China really hard and trying to stop all wars. They need to focus on the Chinese because they are the only country in the world which can attack the US and not face an immediate reaction.
