I was watching those AI movie trailer recreations, and while its rough around the edges, its pretty clear its improving immensely. Its definitely not at the level of a big studio, its around 30%+ of it, and that's already ridiculous considering said movies take years and millions of dollars to make. The future of the movie industry will be led by indepedent producers who only need to write a script, feed it to AI and adjust it, no millions of dollars of required, no need to hire actors, no need to spend several years to make short films. That is good for movie watchers as big studios have putting out literal garbage these recent years, but this will ruin every major movie studio and make actors jobless.

No way governments with top super computers and computer power don't have even crazier shit. Same thing when crypto... Imagine if the government really wanted to compete with decentralized currency would the keys be held by the people with the best machines to mine and produce it? Same thing with AI.. Epstine prison video going to come out but is going to be a nothing burger made from AI.. from the jump they said there was no video of his death and now all of a sudden they have video lol okay but yeah very interesting the direction it's going

They can't because it is still trained on the work of others. Until this is solved in court first, using AI on copyrighted work is too risky. I'm sure they would use it right away if they could be safe legally (Like they did for Darth Vader's voice) but it's still not safe from lawsuits.

>>508552581
They don't need to censor it, just demonetize it, which is already happening on all platforms. The algorithms are super trigger happy about demonetizing stuff.

It's crazy that people are so nearsighted and they don't seem to understand that AI will improve far behind this too in a few years, a lot of these are done with the lower quality free versions of AI as well, so they are behind even what is available. I'm pretty sure they are already using AI to write movies, I would say Borderlands was a movie that was mostly written by AI, as it had no real direction or purpose and any alleged humor in it fell flat.

Therefore, a DEI filter for scripts will be mandatory during the elaboration process of the story and concepts.

Golden rule of JudeoAmerican content production:
If a media can be altered, censored, incentivized or disincentivized to change, in order to maximize the amount of narrative reinforcement and demoralization, it will be.

If big studios don't hold the reins anymore DEI nonsense will be a thing of the past, unless producers get financial incentives to add it, but that's not practical considering the amount of people who will try making their own movie, not everyone will be a sellout. I can see them adding a filter to the AI that produces said scripts though just like they did with ChatGPT.

Rather than directly making the sets and costumes look real, they will only serve to give the AI direction on how things should look in post.

Movies in general seem like they're going the way of puppet shows and operas. The new generation of kids don't even care about movies, they don't idol worship Hollywood actors acting like Gen X and Millennials do. If they want to be entertained, they'll watch their favorite content creators on Tiktok and Twitch, or stream video games all day. Movies are like old fashioned boomer entertainment now.

filmfag here, this is pretty accurate
the big winners will be people who have film skills (writing, camera, sound, editing) but no capital. They'll use AI to build out their vision but won't be slaves to it, whereas the techbros will churn out stuff that looks spectacular at first but doesn't sustain interest, kinda like chewing gun. Most of the skill in filmmaking is about quietly removing distractions from the story, a lot of FX and editing is designed to not be noticed rather than to impress you.
Of course people love the money shots in sci-fi and action movies but 99% of those are just eye candy and quickly forgotten about, what people really care about is human emotion.

You could do that but it would take months to generate and probably be shit. A big problem for AI is consistency, eg if you give a detailed description of a person there's no guarantee they're going to look the same from shot to shot which is obviously untenable for telling a visual story.
It's ideal for background action (a real problem in low budget movies which can't usually afford to rent cool locations or hire and coordinate lots of extras), technical shots that yo would otherwise require expensive equipment/specialized teams for, and generating things like scene files as input to 3d rendering/compositing software which you can then control and tailor as needed without the unpredictability.
Ai rendering straight out to final video is the most superficially impressive but the least useful. When you watch a film (even just a regular drama with no big action) for every simple dialog scene there's something like 1-200 tiny editing tweaks that went into making it look natural and ordinary.

That makes no sense. An actor has no impact on a movie in even the tiniest little way. A character like Bugs Bunny or Betty Boop, people who like the character would like to see more of the character in other stories. People who like batman or James bond don't care if it's Tom Cruise or Elvis Presley or Britney Spears. They are watching James bond or the batman, not the guy pretending to be someone else. The very thing that makes it possible to enjoy a movie, suspension of disbelief, is also the very same thing that makes actors irrelevant. All the celebrities are fake, they are famous because the TV said they are famous and then other tvs said the same thing as well as other tvs. Emporers new clothes kind of deal. Low iq normans pretend to like celebrities because the tv said to, and they assume other people they are socially performing for genuinely like celebrities.
This is easily proven. There have been like 10+ different people be batman in all the batman movies going back to the original trilogy all the way up to the last batman movie where the joker is an incel and gets raped. Not only was the batman played by a different character, there's been like 10+ different people act as joker in all the different batman movies too. Ronald Reagan is like a hundred years old now. Whatever movies he was in, if the story were continued on one of them it would actually be detrimental to use Ronald Reagan instead of someone who is better. Say the two movies were set apart by a month in their stories. Wouldn't it be strange that the character suddenly went from 20 to 100 years old?

that's exactly it.
wokeshit aside the reason why i haven't been to a cinema in 9 years now is because there's nothing worthwhile to watch. not even fun pixar movies intended for kids but still fun to watch for adults, too.

what the movie industry and the gaming industry have in common is that both kicked all the actually creative minds out of business in favor of slop. it won't matter if they try to block monetization of AI content; people will just do it as a hobby for fun and uploading their content on a youtube alternative that's free of commercials (which is just another bonus for AI - no monetization, no fucking ads).

in a few years shit like the cannes film festival will be forgotten while AI fanmade content festivals with huge open air screens will thrive.
