US cannot put that stamp into a US passport.
So they weren't deported, they were trafficked to a different country.
They, of course, being US citizens, can walk into the embassy and request being returned home. Assuming how incompetent burgers in general are, those people will need the embassy to provide temporary passports(same as to tourists who get their bags stolen) and flights.
