it's a stain on the human race's soul that we allow this to happen. centralization is the great evil. we could easily produce enough meat if we funded small farms instead of subsidizing the great big satanic CAFO operations but our world is run by demons.
similar thing with power production. all the evils stem from centralized grids. municipal (or even sub-municipal, like neighborhood-scale, village-scale) production is the answer. or at least an answer that would solve a lot of problems, and improve quality of life along with resilience and reducing dependence on stuff like huge evil banks and multinationals run by satanists)
