If we're nice to Iran, they will take advantage of our good will and continue making missiles and funding terror groups. If we're nice to Israel, they will continue to use the iron dome as a shield while they bomb Gaza and every neighbor to some extent.

This will result in nuclear exchange at some point. It doesn't matter who first, but nukes will end up getting detonated. One is an ideologically driven madman and the other has a slit throat attitude a about the world.

I propose we just EMP both. Detonate a medium high altitude nuke over each country, whose altitude is calculated to wipe out enough infrastructure to render both incapable of advanced fighting. We then greenlight any and all subs (Israeli and Iranian) that leave the blackout zone to prevent retaliation. What do you think, chat? Could it work?

Your argument will boil down to “their leader is insane” or “it’s a morality issue.”

Iran has a right to defend itself. Their funding of “terror groups” is no different than the US funding guerrilla groups to fight enemy states. Every country does this, so why take exception to Iran doing it? “Because they fund groups that are morally wrong.”
