This USA-ally selection and rank order paradigm might be given a name such as: "help the nice guy underdog who cooperates, over the near-peer competitor". Now get in my time machine and fast forward 15 and 20 years to 2025, Russia and its Hegimonic dreams are being clapped out of existence by a joint strike 21 nation army and once again Mitt Romney and Barack Obama get to answer the question: "Dear Infallable Leader, Who is America's Ally, and who is big big bad?". Well lets use the same "help the nice guy underdog who cooperates, over the near-peer competitor" model as before but with Russia out of the picture, your choices are China or India. Stick that in your AI bio neural gelpacks and hit frappe: If the USA's policy hasn't changed in the last 70 years then America is going to help India, its greatest ally and make China the Big Bad as it gets skewered with a pole and cooked over an open fire with an apple in its mouth.
