Assuming there was any meaningful damage to begin with.

The real question is how are the Iranians going to interpret this?
In the past their MO seems to have been to always stay on the brink of having nukes so they can have nuclear deterrence without having to make a nuke.
But how do they take this latest strike? Its a bit of a new development from the USA.
Do they take this as just an expansion of how things have been to date? Viewing it as nothing different from their past bouts of mutual slapping with Israel?
Or do they take it as a sign that the USA wants to reconquer Iran? And is willing to follow through on that desire?

If the latter then their prior games of "will we? won't we?" with nuclear weapons is too dangerous a game to play. They HAVE to make a nuclear weapon and demonstrate to the world they have working nukes.
After all when was the last time the USA dared raise its hand against North Korea?

Well the ones most concerned about an Iranian nuclear weapon are the Saudis are Israelis. Who are the ones who determine most US policy regarding the Middle East.
Of the two I would say Israel is the one in the more immediate danger as Iran understands the problem they present and its leadership are sincere enough in their faith to consider Israels "religious" objectives to be not only plausible but extremely concerning.

Irans actual allies (not China or Russia) are for the most part excited by the idea of Iran as a nuclear power since Iran has been good to them and respects them, so far anyways.

But for Iran? I think they have no choice now. Recent events have shown that only nuclear weapons can protect your nation.

Ukraine is talking about reacquiring them and they are the best demonstration of why you need them.
The UK is going back to aircraft based nuclear weapons systems developed entirely domestically since each Trident missile test launch done by the UK has revealed that the USA is selling dud missiles.
Iranian air defences may have been deactivated by the Russians prior to Israels attack.
In short. We are looking at a new era of nuclear weapons proliferation at the same time as nuclear power reassuming its rightful role as king of power generation thanks to the extreme demands of AI technology.

There isn't any other option, other than fucking off. Iran is a trap. Israel wants us to fall into this trap because they need the US empire to die right around the same time the Iranian regime dies in order for their Greater Israel Empire to be realized. Iran (the IRGC) has the same goal as Israel--they want the US to spring to the trap so that the American empire can be bled to death. What does Trump want? He's really the wildcard. If we assume Trump doesn't care about Greater Israel or any of that religious bullshit, he wants a third term. What better way than get us involved in other regime change war? It'll start off with anti-War demonstrations, then they'll issue a draft, which will escalate things into a civil war. At that point Trump can seize as much power as he wants, and basically the US becomes an "Israel" for liberal jewry.

Why is Iran a trap? The US military has abandoned traditional military doctrine in favor of Shock & Awe. Because of this (which is a major blind-spot) they'll lose.

It'd take 3-4M troops to win, and the US would only send in 100k. Nukes will be off the table because Russia and or China will say "we'll nuke whoever uses a nuke". Iran if you use a nuke, we'll nuke you. US if you use a nuke, we'll nuke you. Israel if you use a nuke, we'll nuke you. That neutralizes the US's privilege (being the hegemonic superpower) of escalation dominance. And the world will say "hey, that's very responsible of you Russia/China". At that point, the US has dropped 100k troops into the country, they are encircled, and unable to re-supply (think: Sicilian Expedition).

And that's when the actual counter-insurgency starts, and the hubris of Empire leads to ruin, same as with the Athenians way back when.
