I speak German and have lived there before Cali is pretty but American cities kinda suck and the forever urban sprawl strip mall is depressing. It was nice not needing a car and being a eurofag, but other things about Germany are big gay. Terrible food. No USA convenience. Hard to find a good gym.

Outside of a verein it's a challenge to find a gym that let's you deadlift heavy with chalk etc. Germans are less interested in lifting heavy. In USA there's usually a more serious gym around, and many of the big globo chains allow it. In Germany it's like a fitness first with a single squat rack for the whole gym.
