Just go to any island that is not Santorini, Mykonos or Corfu. They are either overrun by bri*ish, or the locals will bleed you dry because of extremely high demand.

Just go to any Sporades island like Skopelos, Naxos, Paros, Rhodes, maybe Crete but avoid the Iraklio area

I don't understand why other Euros love these overcrowded expensive tourist traps so much when there is so much hidden beauty in other parts of Spain that get almost no tourism.
Those resorts feel more akin to being in a zoo instead of experiencing the country's culture and traditions.

I've tried the whole "avoid tourist traps and go explore off the beaten paths" thing when touring Europe and yeah occasionally you can find somewhere magical and amazing without the crowds but 90% of the time the tourist traps are the only places interesting which is why they became tourist traps in the first place.

I say go to tourist traps first, do the standard tourist stuff then dedicate maybe one or two days of your vacation wondering around aimlessly in the obscure places where you probably are just wasting your time but your vacation is basically over already by that point anyways and it is fun just exploring the unknown so why not.
