The main thing this guy is wrong about is that, contrary to what he says, Iran does NOT want a war right now. Iran is becoming rapidly stronger with time and their power gap with Israel becomes increasingly smaller. To support this idea, just 5 years ago it would seem unthinkable that Iran would be able to fire missiles to Israel, saturate their air defenses and actually hit targets. Who's to say that after 5 more years, Iran won't have an actual air force and advanced air defenses? The Iranians know this, so they would rather not force a war until they have become at least equally as strong as Israel and can fight in favorable terms. This is standard game theory analysis.

Same goes for China. They just get stronger in time so their best strategy is just to sit back and do nothing.

Iran is a trap. Israel wants us to fall into this trap because they need the US empire to die right around the same time the Iranian regime dies in order for their Greater Israel Empire to be realized. Iran if you use a nuke, we'll nuke you. US if you use a nuke, we'll nuke you. Israel if you use a nuke, we'll nuke you. That neutralizes the US's privilege (being the hegemonic superpower) of escalation dominance. And the world will say "hey, that's very responsible of you Russia/China". At that point, the US has dropped 100k troops into the country, they are encircled, and unable to re-supply (think: Sicilian Expedition). And that's when the actual counter-insurgency starts, and the hubris of Empire leads to ruin, same as with the Athenians way back when.

Trump was just fine between 2020 and 2024 even though the Democrats did try to stop him. I don't think Trump would be willing to put boots on the ground in Iran, as I think Trump and the military advisors know that it would be wildly unpopular, expensive, and ultamently not beneficial to the US.
