I just went to San Francisco where they have tranny flags and electric street cars everywhere. Relevant to this thread because they are both public transport and actually are "traditional" in some meaningful way. It probably costs the tax payers tons of money and isn't efficient but it was fun to ride the streetcars, especially on the steep hills. We were looking for the Ferry Building and I was like "Every building is the fairy building" because of all the pride flags everywhere. I also wore an American flag shirt on the streetcar and the boisterous and friendly hispanic man running the streetcar visibly recoiled and became quiet when he saw my shirt, like he thought I was ICE or something. It was all very badass, and thank you for reading my blog post.
