Since allot of people here don't seem to really have figured out what happened or why i am going to post this.

First the fall of Syria -which was Turkey's doing- gave Israel Mt.Hermon, by taking this they opened a 700km long air corridor and got the capability to strike targets in Iran, they fly in they bomb they refuel and land. this also cut off Hezbollah logistics same for the Houthi's and a few other Minor Proxies.

Iran was taking abit of a beating after awhile, and Israel wanted to drag the US into this war they refused however, they said sure well bomb Fordow, they bombed it and said okay we did what you asked and now we're leaving. the facility isn't important the people working there are if they got caught in the blast and died that's a major setback, but we'll never find out.

Now because this happened Iran threatened to block the strait of Hormuz, allot of oil moves into international trade from there, this pissed allot of people off. basically everyone who uses international shipping lanes. from the US to China to the Gulf Arabs and beyond if you use International shipping you would be pissed off. it's also why they knocked it off really quickly. -Yes China has a railroad going into Iran now, but it's brand new it's not been paid off yet and having it bombed wasn't going to make them happy either. so it's possible they put pressure on Iran.

So after all this Trump wandered in and just Yelled we did it, Cease fire NOW NOW NOW NOW. this was a clear off-ramp for everyone involved. no negotiations are there it was just yelled out into the Internet and everyone involved figured out pretty quickly that if they just believed it was real it would be real. so Iran took the chance and said yep its real thanks. and Israel was abit perturbed but decided fine it's real.

It's why it was so rocky of a ceasefire now there is nothing to say that they won't start over in a day or two but for now it's over.

Geopol is a 115+ IQ game or however the nintendo is buttered.

Neo-Ottomanism. is the short answer. but Turkey has wanted to deal with what is effectively a failed state on its border for awhile now. so they just took it over using some jihadi's

Not to mention Turkey is hosting like 20 million refugees they can start throwing the Syrians back into Syria. it's something to look out for in the news it'd be pretty solid confirmation that they did it. eventho they aren't really hiding it either.
