Being a good father takes more than simply making money, it means knowing enough about how humans and the world work so that his sons don't have to learn the hard way how things really are. But Americans decided the freedom of fools is a higher priority than the long term well being of their sons and the society those sons would have the responsibility of maintaining if their juvenile forefathers didn't toss the social contract into the fire they're cooking hotdogs over.

My problem with America is the prioritization of freedom over duty. Reproductive freedom is given to men who reject their duty as fathers to prepare their sons for the challenges they may face in the future, especially challenges when dealing with women. I'm sorry your father ran out on you anon. My father was there for my life. Now in my 40s don't talk to him much. We fell out a couple years ago. But he did the bare necessities through my life and that's saying a little much on his end. He wasn't really a good father. And I'm being a better father for my kids than he was for me. Then again he didn't have a dad so maybe that's to blame. I believe his father was an abusive drunk.
Also you have to remember people have their own lives. They need to live their own lives as well. Just because you have kids doesn't mean you stop living your life and doing what you want to do. How old are you?
