Do you know who Rollo was?

A Viking raider, who led massive fleets up the Seine, sacked the Frankish coast, and besieged Paris multiple times.

Frankish King couldn't beat him, so he struck a deal with him, land in exchange for an oath of fealthy.

Rollo got land in Neustria, later known as Normandy ("Land of the Northmen"). And became a Duke .

Now imagine this:
What if Spartacus and Crixus never split?
They defeat Crassus together, and unlike in history they send envoys to the Senate.

They propose to become Foederati in exchange for land in Sicily to settle their army, and they offer to fight for Rome instead of against it. The senate accepts?

This interrogant has keeped me awake two days straight. I can't think on anything else.

Rome would have fought to the last man to stop Spartacus, don't kid yourself. Look how hard they fought against Hannibal.

Spartaxus needed to occupy Lucania, Bruttium or possibly Tarentum or Croton. Settle. Establish a Capital and create a functional state.

Imagine if he had messengers dressed in togas, fluent in Latin, preferably ex-slaves of Roman houses who understand Senate culture. Attempting diplomacy and compromise. Hannibal had an oath to never be friend of Rome but it wasn't te same for Spartacus.

I watched first chapter a couple of years ago, it was utter trash. Nordics are an inferior race.
