Iran is endlessly pursuing a dead-end. They will never be allowed to build a bomb. Any time they try, Intel will inevitably leak and they will get their ears clipped again. US sanctions on Iran are becoming less respected by the day. The last UN sanctions on Iran will expire in October, and there is zero chance they will be renewed. That's likely why Netanyahu decided to attack Iran: he thinks the time is now or never to decisively defeat Iran. The JCPOA fixed the nuke issue but Netanyahu wasn't happy with it anyway.

Fordo likely wasn't destroyed, but even if it was, it doesn't matter. The Iranians have prepared for this. The Iranians always knew that the Fordo and Natanz facilities were compromised, because IAEA inspectors have been let inside and so know exactly where to drop a bunker buster to achieve maximum damage. Thus Iran has built backup facilities such as the Pickaxe Mountain facility, one even more hardened than Fordo, and probably several others we don't know about. They can't activate those facilities without letting in IAEA inspectors as long as they are part of the NPT, however if they exit the NPT they can activate those facilities without having to let in IAEA inspectors.
