Because a land invasion of Iran is a logistical nightmare for anyone (including the IRGC themselves), that the US does NOT want to commit to. The US would suffer heavy casualties, and it would be far more severe than Iraq and Afghanistan combined. It would would cause chaos not only inside Iran but within the US as well.

The only way in for Israel and the US, is continual airstrikes on senior officer chain of command, command centers, key military infrastructure (AA, but especially missile launch systems), silo's, airbases etc.

The objective for Israel and the US is to get Iranians to fight themselves for Israel, giving Israel years to prepare for a worse geopolitical scenario of escalation that the US essentially is prepared for (war). This was planned decades ago. This is why Trump feels like he is defeated at the moment, it beyond his control and he knows it.
