Why is an AfD member fighting for ZOG, my fellow Germans? I thought AfD was supposed to be pro-Russian?
>22-year-old AfD local politician volunteering to fight in Ukraine, Tim Schramm reports on drone warfare, mortar shells and fear of death – and what future he wants for the party.
>"Ukraine is also fighting for us“ – why an AfD member went to war
>AfD politician Schramm fought against Russia: „The Ukrainian fight is also a German one“
>Tim Schramm is 22 years old, deputy district chairman of the AfD-Wuppertal and voluntarily fought on Ukraine's side against the Kremlin regime. He is one of the youngest politicians in the party, is well connected and completed a traineeship in the European Parliament.
NIUS spoke to him about his motivation, the supposedly conservative Russia and why Europe is defended in Donbass.
Mr. Schramm, what motivated you to travel to Ukraine?
>That may sound absurd, but it was actually the AfD. Our NRW parliamentary group has always been comparatively transatlantic. Back in 2022, shortly after the start of the war, we organized an aid transport – three buses full of medical supplies, directly to the war zone. At the time, no one knew if Kiev would fall. I went along. That was my first contact with Ukraine. After that I was there alone again. In 2023 the three of us from Wuppertal drove to Chernobyl in an old Golf III – a road trip. On the way we had an accident and happened to meet helpful Ukrainians with whom we are still friends today. This became a real bond. Since then we have been visiting each other – skiing, beach holidays in Odessa. I just liked it there.
