No they don’t. Iran has better religious minority rights than half of the monarchies aligned with the USA. Their conservative model of sharia applies a different jurisdiction to non-muslims which means that they generally get laxer laws than muslims.
All of the religious persecution that happens there involves proselytizing and apostasy.

Israel, for all its many flaws, is a democracy, and democracies don't randomly use WMD.
No one trusts Iran with the same power. If the decripit old supreme leader, on his deathbed, orders nuclear attack then it will be carried out by the fanatics who control Iran. The retalation will do immense damage to the country and people, but the people responsible don't care.
