I've been looking into homesteading for a year now and it's much harder than you think. For power, solar is still a pain in the ass. For water, you really need a well and if solar cuts out, it will backflush and stir up sediment. It's very hard to grow enough food to eat and also make a profit, so you will always need a normal job somewhere for a main income. Basically, you have to already have a lot of money to get set up, so many homesteaders already had equity from selling other property and have some kind of residual income, like retirement or other benefits.

This. The best balance is to become a hermit who lives on several acres outside a smallish town in a southern state. You can get electricity, well water, garbage pickup, and cable. Then just rarely go to town or interact with anyone other than family. This way you can live the off grid lifestyle with minimal cost of the few luxuries you want from the world.

>you need to get someone to come and suck up the shit and piss in your spetic tank,
if its done right you dont need that because bacteria digest the solids away, but even if you need a truck every 6-10 years its hardly a big deal unless you have not road at all to your place.
Another way to do it is composting instead of flushing to a tank. look up the Humanure handbook.
>lots of water for toilet, faucets, shower, etcโ€ฆ
water is important of course. most people will get a drilled well, one of the main expenses afte buying land. if you have limited water than you trim down what you need to use and make the most of rain fall etc.
>plus you need garbage pickup โ€ฆ.
most of it can be either burned or avoided in the first place. you then just take your few bags into town to throw out every 2-3 weeks, or longer.

how so?
> you really need a well and if solar cuts out, it will backflush and stir up sediment.
a well is best for sure, but never heard of the backflush thing. pumps just sit there until you activate them. must be some kind of system ive not seen before.
> It's very hard to grow enough food to eat and also make a profit, so you will always need a normal job somewhere for a main income.
thats true enough. living off grid is pretty much a work in progress for most people but thats ok. its a nice ideal to have in mind.

its totally possible. i do a homestead and my biggest thing is water. i am hooked to the grid because its cheap and convenient, if i could get water without electricity i would consider just going without power but theres not enough wind for a windmill and i would pump myself to death with a handpump watering all my gardens. septic is not an issue at all unless you have a giant family, a couple of people dont make that much waste.

If you mean buying land, no, if you're paying property taxes and shit i don't think that's being off-grid, although if the property tax is cheap and you can afford the land i don't see why not do it.

Sandpoint well
Outhouse
Yurt
Yard tools
Rifle
Solar panel and battery for electronics.
Big ole yurt to live in
Wood stove.
Youre retarted
Kys
I live like this for 5 years in my early 20s. Buy a horse trough and fill it with filteted rain water then add 3 or 4 pots of boiling water to bring it to temp. In the spring move your yurt 50 yards. Rinse repeat.
The hardest part is firewood and wildlife fucking up your garden, keeping enough on hand and keeping animals from decimating your shit is a pain.
Otherwise you work a part time job to afford property taxes and you set your address to an actual livable home like your parents house. Its easily done and you only need to do like a weeks work at max during the year. The rest is maintaining shit after the heat of the day.
Things like goal zero electric coolers work wonders for keeping food good.

No. Earth is overcrowded and there is no land left. Of course you can buy some land but then you have property tax and you have to ask the government if you want to build something on it or cut a tree down. That ruins the purpose of going off grid in my opinion. Of course you could somehow make it to an uninhabited island somewhere but you won't survive there.

You can use any crown land in canada for personal use for up to like a month then you have to relocate a few kms away. It's comfy during the warm months, you just have to avoid injun reserves and respect fish and wildlife officers.

People don't want to live off grid. They just don't want to live around niggers and spics and jeets. Running away to Montana or wherever is not going to fix that. They will always follow us eventually once everything we abandoned to them falls apart.

If there was a place that specifically banned non-Whites, I'd move there. But I'm not packing up my entire life for any of this "implied" bullshit. That's all it ever is. Implied. They are implying that if you move to one of these shithole states that you can live around White people, but they never put it in writing. Then 10 years go by and every lazy ass faggot needs 100 beaners to work in his factory or his shitty landscaping business and you are right back to living like you were, except now you are in bumfuck Idaho or wherever.

I want to see it in bold fucking letters

>THIS CITY IS TO BE INHABITED EXCLUSIVELY BY WHITE PEOPLE, AND RUN BY WHITE PEOPLE SPECIFICALLY FOR THE BENIFIT OF WHITE PEOPLE.
>NO SPICS.
>NO NIGGERS.
>NO ARABS.
>NO ASIANS.
>NO JEWS.

You can put a sandpoint 30 ft down ano nobody knows. Its even there untill ypu show them the pump. Permits not required in many rural areas.
If youre not in a farmland zone and rural you dont have to worry about much being in the ground water either.

You can tell 90% of off grid posters and underage or neet larpers because they don't know that these are all things regular on grid homeowners deal with everyday. It's not even an underage thing. Living solely off the land is almost impossible nowadays. Permaculture fags say an acre is enough. As if.
A fucking acre, which is 5x as much as is typically available in Europe is not enough to feed, clothe, tool and medicate an average family.
You're effectively fucked without like-minded community. And that's now, imagine how it would look once you'll get old.
I'm not even going into pesticides and newly introduced pests, which is a very broad subject.

>a well and if solar cuts out, it will backflush and stir up sediment
I have a well, thats not how it works.

I post this all the time in /out/.
>I have a cabin innawoods on about 40 acres. Bought the first half for about $1,400 and acre and finally secured the second half (about twice the price unfortunately).
>was raw land, didn't even have an address assigned.
>$10k for well. 220 feet deep. Water at about 120 feet. Pump sits at 170 feet. Well driller rated it at about 100 gpm (capable). 1/2 hp pump, 100 gallon expansion tank.
>septic was $2k (pre covid). 1,000 gallon concrete tank. (2) 75 foot leach lines. PVC prices sky rocketed and same system is about $5k today.
>Im on grid (my neighbor is not). My cost was about $700 to install a service pole. Power line was close enough to hook up with no additional charge. First 300 feet is free, after that its 4 bucks a foot overhead, 7 bucks a foot underground. This is how I scored the second plot- it would have been $8k to get power to where he wanted to build (i wouldnt give eqsement for power line across my.propertt and he would have had to go the long way around).

Yes its doable but takes a lot of effort. Otherwise youre living like uncle Ted and will probably wind up just as mad.

Fuck firefox, fuck android and fuck that nigger who implemented power saving.
Now that my effort post is gone, the answer is still "no".
One koku requires 1000 m^2. Add to that another 1000 m2 of woodland for fire, coppicing and fungi, 100 m2 of kitchen garden for spices and medicinals, and we're easily above one acre. And that's for an individual, yet we need to support large families.
It's designed to be beyond our reach.

Alaska seems the most viable for the most entrepreneurial, skilled, and resourceful with money saved. The 5 figure properties in this picture are 10 acres or more and property tax seems negligible in the middle of nowhere because it's all local. Of course you will have to do the rest literally yourself without any contractors or easy way to transport things. Also better learn how to fly lol
