it's obviously better to have the backing of the dominant party, but it would be much easier for Adams to put together a winning coalition given the circumstances than Curtis. Turnout for the primary was very low and I think there are a lot of Dem voters who aren't going to want to take a chance on someone like Zohran after all the city has been through in recent years.
